Somerset Hills Girls Lacrosse is a volunteer organization committed to making the game of girls lacrosse available to girls in 3rd grade to 8th grade who reside in the towns that comprise the Somerset Hills School District (Bernardsville, Bedminster, Far Hills, Peapack and Gladstone).

Our goal is to help players develop their ability to play the game and participate in a rewarding team experience. Our program is part of the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association (JGLA) which is the largest girls lacrosse chapter in the United States under the jurisdiction of US Lacrosse (www.uslacrosse.org). As such, every player registered to play with Somerset Hills Girls Lacrosse is required to have a valid US Lacrosse membership.  The membership requirement provides our program and league with insurance benefits and also provides players and their families with a wealth of information about the game, training tips, rules, product discounts and other services. In addition players will receive a rule book for youth lacrosse that we hope they along with their parents will take some time to review and you will receive the US Lacrosse magazine in the mail.

As part of the JGLA (www.jerseygirlslacrosse.org)  our organization is committed to providing a safe and positive experience to help players  learn the game, develop a love for the game and hopefully continue to play in high school. Our public high school team, Bernards High School just won its first group state championship in 2016.  Many of the players on the team started playing with Somerset Hills Girls Lacrosse.   Of course we have players who go to private schools and have great success with their teams.

We are exclusively  focused on the girls game of lacrosse.  What makes this game different than many other games that girls play in is it ts own rules, equipment and field markings so in our eyes a game just for girls!

We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who coach and or support the logistics of our program on an annual basis. Although our season is in the spring (March to early June)  its pretty much a year round endeavor to support the planning and logistics involved.  Every year we have players who leave our program as they have completed their 8th grade season and in turn we lose volunteers who have supported us.  We are very grateful to have some that continue even though their children have moved on.  We hope that we can count on more people to do the same and or volunteer to help us grow and expand the number of teams we can offer.

We look forward to your family being part of our organization and for your daughters to have a great experience and love for the game.
